TO DO :
• Host a welcome meeting for new parents and collect contact details – ensuring you ’ re complying with GDPR
• If you ' re holding your AGM , send out invites – at least 21 days beforehand
• Review last year ’ s successes and meet with your Head to discuss plans for the year
• Establish your events calendar and put key dates in the diary
• Collect second-hand uniform donations - children are bound to have grown over the summer !
• Start to plan your Christmas events

• 13th : Roald Dahl day
• 30th : World ' s biggest coffee morning
TO DO :

OCTOBER

• Sign up for an online shopping fundraising platform to help boost donations
• Serve refreshments at Parents Evenings and Open Days – a great opportunity to get volunteers too
• Creating Christmas cards with pupils ' artwork ? Make sure you submit to the printer before October half term
• As the evenings get darker , why not host autumn events such as movie nights , bingo or quiz nights ?

• 31st : Halloween

• If you ’ re hosting a Christmas event , consult your planning schedule to ensure you ’ re on track , and have enough volunteers . Order cash floats too
• As Black Friday approaches , remind parents of cashback platforms such as easyfundraising . org . uk
• Send home permission forms and payment requests for end-of-term discos , which are always a hit
EVENTS :
• 5th : Fireworks Night

DECEMBER JANUARY

TO DO :
• Boost your funds by serving refreshments at school festive activities such as concerts and plays
• If you have created any Christmas merchandise such as cards , calendars or tea towels , distribute these in early December
• Send out an end of term thank you to all supporters with an update on funds raised and how they will be spent
• Plan your new year activities and send ‘ save the dates ’ for January , February and March events
EVENTS :
• 13th : Christmas jumper day
TO DO :
• Start thinking about your summer fair ; establish a sub-committee and agree on a theme and attractions
• This is a great time to do a clothing collection – e . g with bag2schools , as people tend to have a clear-out
• Host an in-person or virtual quiz for both students and parents
EVENTS :
• 30th Jan – 6th Feb : National Storytelling Week
Top tip : The quieter months are a good time to tackle any outstanding housekeeping and get ahead with admin tasks
TO DO :
• At the beginning of the month , plan your event for World Book Day
• Celebrate Valentine ’ s Day with a pupil disco or a family movie evening
• Organise your upcoming events such as Easter activities , end-of-term discos and prepare for your Mother ' s Day events ( 10th March )
EVENTS :
• 13th : Pancake Day – host a pancake race , a sponsored flip or link up with before school breakfast club !
