World Space Week
Prep the little astronauts for launch ! October is the ideal time of year for a stargazing fundraiser . If it ’ s a dry evening , lay some blankets on the school grounds and search the sky for constellations . Star hunting is hungry work , so don ’ t forget to include a galaxy-themed cake sale .

Apple Day
Apple Day is celebrated each year in the autumn , and encourages rich discussions around nature , culture and food ( and lots of apple pie ).

Halloween
A spooktacular day for all things scary - plus an opportunity to celebrate the seasonal pumpkin !

Diwali
Also known as Deepavali or the Festival of Lights , Diwali is one of the most important festivals for Hindus , Sikhs and Jains . It symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness , good over evil and knowledge over ignorance .

Bonfire Night
Remember , remember … A staple in the UK calendar , bonfire night is a great opportunity to talk about history , enjoy some autumnal treats , watch fireworks and warm up beside a roaring bonfire !
If the idea of fireworks and bonfires feels like a health and safety nightmare , why not try a laser show instead ?

Inter Faith Week
Inter Faith Week aims to strengthen relationships between people of all faiths , creating a good opportunity for open discussions and multicultural fundraising events in your school . interfaithweek . org

Remembrance Day / Armistice Day
A day to reflect on the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life throughout history .

Anti-Bullying Week
This week is for spreading awareness , sharing information and showing solidarity against bullying . Children in your school can also help spread the message by wearing odd socks on 12th November . anti-bullyingalliance . org . uk

Road Safety Week
This campaign by road safety charity , Brake , asks schools and communities to shout out for their rights to enjoy healthy and safe journeys every day . brake . org . uk

International Volunteer Day
Time to celebrate all you wonderful volunteers and the incredible work your PTA does for your school

Tree Dressing Day
