All systems go! Whether it’ s an evening stargazing event on the school grounds or a galaxy-themed cake sale, indulge children’ s curiosity for space with some exciting fundraisers.

World Teachers’ Day
Teachers have such an enormous impact on our children’ s everyday lives. Show your appreciation on this day any way you can – a packet of posh biscuits in the staff room definitely wouldn’ t go amiss.

Diwali
Also known as Deepavali or the Festival of Lights, Diwali is one of the most important festivals for Hindus, Sikhs and Jains. It symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance.

Apple Day
Apple Day is celebrated each year in the autumn, and encourages rich discussions around nature, culture and food( and lots of apple pie).

Halloween
Let’ s get spooky! The perfect time for a dress-up disco or a pumpkin pie bake-off.

Bonfire Night
Remember, remember … Everyone’ s favourite night to watch some fireworks, this is a great opportunity to talk about history, enjoy some autumnal treats and warm up beside a roaring bonfire!
If the idea of fireworks and bonfires feels like a health and safety nightmare, why not try a laser show instead?
10-14 November
Anti-Bullying Week
Break out your best odd socks to celebrate the things that make everyone unique and take a stand against bullying. 2025’ s theme is‘ Power for Good’, encouraging children to speak up safely when they see bullying. anti-bullyingalliance. org. uk

Remembrance Day / Armistice Day
A day to reflect on the service and sacrifice of all those who have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life throughout history.

Road Safety Week

Global Entrepreneurship Week( GEW)
A chance for young entrepreneurs to get inspired and understand more about business and creativity – why not organise an enterprise fair?

The start of the Jewish eight-day‘ Festival of Light’ is marked with prayers, the lighting of candles and traditional foods such as brisket and latkes.
