Advice please! The field the school uses for PE, sports day etc. has been offered up to purchase by the social club, which has a huge Crowdfunding total to meet. If they don’ t buy it then it will be sold to developers and the school will lose the use of a field – and it’ s our only green space. Are we able to help raise money for the field as it’ s in the children’ s best interest? The school gets to use this free of charge now and ongoing if the club purchases it.
Unfortunately, this isn ' t something that would be within the PTA remit to fund. However, there is nothing to stop you as parents supporting the wider campaign to raise money for the social club. You could run joint events, as long as the destination of the funds are made clear.
For various reasons, our last PTA meeting was postponed. We ' ve decided to give online a try, in the hope more people will attend from the comfort of their own home. Does anyone do online meetings and have any tips?
Reminder!
Christmas will be here before you know it
We’ re sorry to have to bring it up, but the earlier you can get started on planning your Christmas events and activities, the better...

Parentkind’ s first ever marathon runner!

Liz Skelton from the Guinness Partnership ran the 2026 TCS London Marathon for Parentkind and raised over £ 3,000! She is our very first ever marathon runner, and we ' re so proud of her achievement.
Congratulations, Liz, you deserve that medal and more!
Unless your constitution explicitly states that virtual meetings are allowed, the Charity Commission takes the view that they should be in person. The most recent Parentkind Constitution has been updated to allow the provision for virtual meetings – for details see our page here: parentkind. org / your-ptaexpert / governance / pta- constitution
