This day encourages us to celebrate the many ways , big or small , we could put a smile on someone else ’ s face . It ’ s a lovely way to connect with others and spread positivity .
Women ' s History Month
A month to commemorate the important roles that women have played throughout history and how they ’ ve shaped the world today . Take this opportunity to share facts about remarkable women such as Marie Curie , Ada Lovelace and Maya Angelou .

World Teen Mental Wellness Day
A day to spread awareness about the mental health issues that affect teenagers and how to challenge stigma . If you ’ re looking for support , Young Minds offer incredible advice and resources . youngminds . org . uk

World Book Day
A day to celebrate the joy of reading for pleasure . Get the children involved by inviting them to dress up as their favourite characters . Many companies also offer discounted or even free books around this date . Check out the World Book Day website for more information . worldbookday . com

British Science Week
A week-long celebration of science , technology , engineering and maths . The aim is to get children excited to explore these subjects and inspire young people with higher education options and career paths . britishscienceweek . org

St Patrick ' s Day
Also known as the Feast of St Patrick , this is a celebration of the patron saint of Ireland . People around the world celebrate by putting up green decorations , watching Irish stepdancers and hunting for four-leaf clovers .

Holi
Also known as the Festival of Colours , Holi is a Hindu festival held at the end of winter to honour the triumph of good over evil . Celebrations include lighting bonfires , eating sweets and throwing coloured powder or water . The perfect occasion for a colour run ! Celebrate the end of Lent with egg hunts , basket weaving , hot cross buns , fluffy chicks and , most importantly , lots and lots of chocolate .

April Fool ’ s Day
A fun-filled day of tricks and riddles . Why not involve the whole school with a nonuniform day with a twist – like wearing clothes back to front ?! 1 March
St David ' s Day
Also known as the Feast of St David , this is a celebration of the patron saint of Wales . Traditional ways to mark the occasion include small acts of kindness , parades and wearing a yellow daffodil .

Mother ' s Day
A day to show appreciation for all the mothers and motherly figures in our lives . To celebrate , why not host an afternoon tea or run a pop-up shop for gifts ?

Red Nose Day / Comic Relief
One of the biggest fundraising events of the year , Red Nose Day is a campaign run by Comic Relief in a bid to end child poverty . The sillier and quirkier the fundraising challenges are , the better !* rednoseday . org

* PTAs can raise money for another charity but it must be split – a percentage to the charity , with a percentage to the PTA – and you must let your members know where their donations will be going before raising the funds

Autism Awareness Day
A day to spread awareness and celebrate the strengths and differences of people with autism . Consider making your events more autism-friendly by creating designated quiet areas , make touch-based activities optional and provide details of events ahead of time so families can prepare .
3 April
National Walking Day
National Walking Day is exactly what it says on the tin – an excuse to put on some trainers and take a stroll in the great outdoors . It can be for five minutes or fifty , so long as you ’ re enjoying some fresh air .
