Simple fundraisers that bring in the big bucks
Easy wins are the best kind . We asked you what events were the simplest to run but turned out to be the most profitable , and you had some amazing ideas
Sponsored mile
“
We did a sponsored mile with a route around our school . We sent sponsor forms home with a recommended minimum sponsorship of £ 10 per family and linked it with the school ’ s Coronation celebrations . We sold ice creams and cakes too . We ’ re only a small school of under 150 students but made just over £ 1,700 .

Street food festival
“
We held a street food festival . We ’ re a school of only around 120 pupils in a small village . It ’ s such a simple concept – the hardest part was getting power to the food trucks that needed it . We took bookings using Classlist and had around 15 vendors on our playing field and in the hall . The great thing about a food festival is that you ’ re widening the target audience , so it ’ s not just school families that come along . We had so many people from the village and beyond visit , which also helps to raise the profile of the school . We raised over £ 700 in stall fees and on-the-gate donations .

Sponsored bike ride
“
We held a teacher / staff-sponsored bike ride from Leeds to York . Six members of staff cycled and the school community sponsored them . We raised £ 1,800 ! We are a one form entry school , so this was an amazing amount for us . This year they volunteered again and are doing a sponsored kayak from Leeds to Shipley .
