Also known as the Feast of Saint David , this is a celebration of the patron saint of Wales . Traditional ways to mark the occasion include small acts of kindness , parades and wearing a yellow daffodil .

World Teen Mental Wellness Day
A day to spread awareness about the mental health issues that affect teenagers and how to challenge stigma . If you ’ re looking for support , Young Minds offer incredible advice and resources . youngminds . org . uk

Pancake Day / Shrove Tuesday
Lemon and sugar , maple syrup , fruit , bacon and eggs – the possibilities are endless . To make the day even batter , why not try a pancake flipping competition ?!
6 March
World Book Day
A day to celebrate the joy of reading for pleasure . Get the children involved by inviting them to dress up as their favourite characters . Many companies also offer discounted or even free books around this date . Check out the World Book Day website for more information . worldbookday . com

Holi
Also known as the Festival of Colours , Holi is a Hindu festival held at the end of winter to honour the triumph of good over evil . Celebrations include lighting bonfires , eating sweets and throwing coloured powder or water . The perfect occasion for a colour run !

Saint Patrick ’ s Day
Also known as the Feast of Saint Patrick , this is a celebration of the patron saint of Ireland . People around the world celebrate by putting up green decorations , watching Irish stepdancers and hunting for four-leaf clovers .
30 March
Mother ’ s Day
A day to show appreciation for all the mothers and motherly figures in our lives . To celebrate , why not host an afternoon tea or run a pop-up shop for gifts ?
30-31 March
Eid al-Fitr
Now Ramadan has ended , Eid is a joyous time for celebration , gift giving and feasting for the Muslim community .

1 April
April Fool ’ s Day
A fun-filled day of tricks and riddles . If you wanted to involve the whole school , you could have a non-uniform day with an odd twist – like wearing clothes back to front !
2 April
Autism Awareness Day
A day to spread awareness and celebrate the strengths and differences of people with autism . Consider making your events more autism-friendly , for example by creating designated quiet areas .
3 April
National Walking Day
National Walking Day is exactly what it says on the tin – an excuse to put on some trainers and take a stroll in the great outdoors . It can be for five minutes or fifty , so long as you ’ re enjoying some fresh air .
7 April
World Health Day
Created by the World Health Organization , this is a global awareness day to improve health and wellbeing . Take a look at the website to find out the theme for this year and how you can get involved .
20 April
Easter Sunday
Celebrate the end of Lent with egg hunts , basket weaving , hot cross buns , fluffy chicks and , most importantly , lots and lots of chocolate .
23 April
World Book Night
Children learn by example , but 31 % of adults say they don ’ t read in their spare time . World Book Night ’ s mission is to encourage more adults and young people to pick up a book . You could get parents involved with a book sale for grownups or by starting a book club . worldbooknight . org

Saint George ’ s Day
Saint George is England ’ s patron saint . Celebrate by flying the flag of Saint George , wearing blue , having a Punch and Judy show or serving a delicious cream tea !
