Women’ s History Month A month to commemorate the important roles that women have played throughout history and how they’ ve shaped the world today. Take this opportunity to share facts about trailblazing women like Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart and Mary Shelley.

St David’ s Day Also known as the Feast of St David, this is a celebration of the patron saint of Wales. Traditional ways to mark the occasion include small acts of kindness, parades and wearing a yellow daffodil.
2 March
World Teen Mental Wellness Day A day to spread positive awareness about teenagers’ mental wellness and how to challenge stigma. If you’ re looking for support, Young Minds offer incredible advice and resources. youngminds. org. uk
4 March
Holi Also known as the Festival of Colours, Holi is a Hindu festival held at the end of winter to honour the triumph of good over evil. Celebrations include lighting bonfires, eating sweets and throwing coloured powder or water – it’ s the perfect occasion for a colour run!

World Book Day Let’ s celebrate the joy of reading! Get children involved by inviting them to dress up as their favourite characters. Many companies also offer discounted or even free books around this date. Check out the World Book Day website for more information. worldbookday. com

British Science Week A week-long celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths. This year’ s theme is‘ Curiosity’ and aims to get children excited about exploring the world and making new discoveries every day! britishscienceweek. org

Mother’ s Day A day to show appreciation for all the mothers and motherly figures in our lives. To celebrate, why not host an afternoon tea or run a pop-up shop for gifts?

St Patrick’ s Day Also known as the Feast of St Patrick, this is a celebration of the patron saint of Ireland. People around the world celebrate by putting up green decorations, watching Irish stepdancers and hunting for four-leaf clovers.
19 March
Eid al-Fitr Now Ramadan has ended, Eid is a joyous time for giftgiving, festivities and feasting for the Muslim community.

April Fool’ s Day A fun-filled day of tricks and riddles. Get the whole school involved by organising a nonuniform day with a unique twist – like wearing clothes back to front!
2 April
Autism Awareness Day A day to spread awareness and celebrate the strengths and differences of people with autism. Consider making your events more autism-friendly, for example by creating designated quiet areas. 5 April
Easter Sunday Celebrate the end of Lent with egg hunts, basket weaving, hot cross buns, fluffy chicks and, most importantly, lots and lots of chocolate.
7 April
