A chance to celebrate , advocate and learn about the LGBTQ + community . There is so much literature written by and about LGBTQ + people for children and young adults , so why not host a rainbow book sale ?

Volunteers Week
This week is for fantastic PTAs like yours and everyone who lends a helping hand to make things happen in your community . You can thank old faces or encourage new ones to join your PTA , but at the very least take a moment to celebrate your achievements with your fellow volunteers .

Father ' s Day
A day to appreciate all the wonderful fathers and fatherly figures in our lives . This is a great occasion for a pop-up shop for gifts , card-making sessions and a raffle or two .

Team Green Britain Bike Week
Cycling is great for our minds , our bodies and our planet . If your school doesn ’ t already have one , you could fundraise for a bike rack , or consider road safety lessons for children who want to learn to cycle to school .
13-17 June
National School Grounds Week
This week focuses on the importance of outdoor play and learning . How about running a literal school field trip to see the plants and wildlife thriving on the school grounds ? Or if there isn ’ t much greenery , how about a playground silent disco ?
17-23 June
National Insect Week
Did you know that a ladybird can eat more than 5,000 insects in its lifetime ? Or that mosquitos love smelly feet ?! Run by the Royal Entomological Society , National Insect Week is dedicated to the littlest beings on our planet . Consider funding a bug hotel – they don ’ t take up much room and are pretty cheap !
18 June
International Picnic Day
Grab your gingham blankets , wicker baskets and some delectable treats for a whole-school picnic . You could make this a family event with food stands , games and ice cream . Maybe someone could be in with a chance of winning a yummy picnic basket filled with goodies ?
21 June
Wrong Trousers Day
“ It ' s the wrong trousers , Gromit , and they ' ve gone wrong !” Celebrate the classic stop-motion movie by asking the children to wear their weirdest , wackiest trousers to school . Extra points if they have cheese in their packed lunch .
Plastic Free July
Challenge your school to be part of the plastic pollution solution and avoid single-use plastics where you can this month . National Best Friends Day
Friendship bracelets are a must for National Best Friends Day . If you want to make some for the children to buy and give to their besties , the materials are easy to get hold of , and there are lots of cheap kits to be found online for the children who would rather make some themselves .
