W e have a fairly large school .
We ' ve got 22 classes , and each has a class rep . Class reps are kind of a bridge liaising between all of us – parents , the school and the PTA . They do specific things for the classes , like organising socials , and they contribute to our PTA ’ s big events , like our fairs .
In our PTA we have one Chair , one Treasurer and a pool of key people , probably about 15 to 20 , who put themselves forward regularly for the events they are interested in . Volunteering depends entirely on the schedule of the individual , and whether they ' re enthusiastic for a particular event . It ’ s all pretty informal with us .
