Pride Month It’ s never been more important to celebrate, advocate and learn more about the LGBTQ + community. With a rich variety of books written by and about LGBTQ + people for children and young adults, why not host a rainbow book sale?

The Great Big Green Week A week to celebrate climate and nature. Take part by organising a litter pick or clothes swap at your school, or hold an assembly about the climate crisis – there is a free resource pack on the website with lots of useful information. greatbiggreenweek. com
9-15 June
Bike Week The UK’ s biggest celebration of cycling! It’ s great for our own health and wellbeing and has a positive impact on the world around us. Your PTA can encourage more pupils to cycle by fundraising for a school bike rack or road safety lessons for those wanting to cycle to school.
18 June
Autistic Pride Day A day to celebrate autistic people and an opportunity to ensure your PTA’ s activities are as inclusive as possible. The movement was founded by Aspies for Freedom in 2005 and emphasises that autism is a difference, not a disease.

19 June
Wrong Trousers Day“ It ' s the wrong trousers, Gromit, and they ' ve gone wrong!” Celebrate the classic stop-motion movie by asking the children to wear their weirdest, wackiest trousers to school for a non-school uniform day. Extra points if they have cheese in their packed lunch.
