The National PTA Awards 2026 are a celebration of the time, hard work and dedication that PTAs and supporters volunteer to raise vital funds for their school community. Our annual awards give PTAs the chance to receive local and national recognition for their achievements, as well as the chance to win up to £ 2,000!
And the categories are...
PTA Fundraising Activity of the Year Award
Prize: £ 250
For outstanding innovation in fundraising, this award celebrates the impact of funds raised, the strength of the home-school partnership, the support from parents and any challenges that have been overcome.
Changing the Life of the School Award
Prize: £ 250
For outstanding non-fundraising achievements, this will be awarded to a PTA that has had an impact on school life, such as changes to the school’ s physical environment and / or ethos.
PTA Community Initiative of the Year Award
Prize: £ 250
Celebrating projects that specifically engage the school with the local community, this award is for the successful cohesion between the school body and local businesses, residents and other community groups.
PTA Transformation of the Year Award
Prize: £ 250
For PTAs who have grown as an association, demonstrated by their members or projects, and gained recognition from their school, community and other successful collaborations. PTAs will need to demonstrate at least two achievements.
New PTA of the Year Award
Prize: £ 250
For newly formed PTAs or PTAs who have relaunched after a 12-month absence. Tell us the rationale behind the formation of the association, what you hope to achieve and any challenges you have overcome.
PTA Volunteer of the Year Award
Prize: £ 250
For outstanding contribution to a PTA. An individual may be nominated by PTAs, parents, school staff, governors and other educational professionals.
PTA Inclusivity in Action Award
Prize: £ 250
Recognising PTAs that go above and beyond to include pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities( SEND / ALN) and long-term health conditions, removing barriers and creating activities, events and communication that work for all families.
Primary PTA of the Year Prize: £ 500
Winners will be chosen from all nominations received for PTAs associated with primary schools or nurseries, decided by our panel of judges. Secondary / Post-Primary PTA of the Year
Prize: £ 500 Winners will be chosen from all nominations received for PTAs associated with secondary and post-primary schools, decided by our panel of judges.
National PTA of the Year
Prize: £ 2,000
The crowning glory of the National PTA Awards, the recipient will be chosen from the finalists in all categories( except PTA Volunteer of the Year Award).
